Bingley Town Council hopes to provide regular updates to residents on the progress of the street furniture painting in central Bingley.
Due to the issues with the weather this week the contractor hasn’t carried out any painting works but has made good progress with the preparation – all galvanised surfaces have been degreased and treated and the team have started carrying out some pre-paint preparation such as cleaning and removing loose and flaking paint. The progress of the painting may be affected by the weather.
An order has been placed for the traffic management requirements, and Bingley Town Council will share the details of these when they are known.
Small things like nice open spaces and well cared for street furniture make a real difference. Since the old station house has been restored, what a difference it has made to the centre of Bingley. I noticed that Bradford was pretty low down on the list of places to live in, but ensuring as many places look as smart as possible in the wider Bradford area will only totally suprise people who visit andthink the area will be like an extended Coronation Street.
