An Emergency Meeting of the Full Council was held on Tuesday September 21st to discuss access to potential Government funding via Bradford Metropolitan District Council for a Changing Places Toilet Facility in Bingley.

There is a deadline of 26th September for Bingley Town Council to opt to be included in the bid for this potential funding of £20,000. The Town Council’s planned Changing Places project would be unlikely to be included if: building work has already begun, or a decision has been made to raise the precept in order to fund the project.

The Town Council voted to pause the project in order to be included in the bid. The Council remains committed to providing a Changing Places facility in the town, in addition to the two accessible public toilets already provided. The Changing Places Working Group will continue to meet. A decision on funding is expected in November.
