D Day 80 Event
We would like to thank everyone who joined us on Thursday 6th June in the Market Square to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
At the event were the Bingley Detachment Cadets, Spen Valley Marching Band and 3rd Bingley Sea Scouts. The event commenced at 8.30pm, with the Deputy Lord Lieutenant reading the official proclamation and lighting the beacon at 9.15pm.

D Day 80
Bingley Remembrance Group and Bingley Town Council are proud to announce a commemoration ceremony to mark the 80th Anniversary of D Day on Thursday 6th June 2024.

Bingley Five Rise 250 Years
Many thanks to all residents and visitors who attended the festival to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Five Rise Locks on Saturday 23rd March. It was a wonderful atmosphere and great to see so many people come together to enjoy the festivities. Community Litter Pick
A really successful community litter pick took place in Cottingley on Saturday 13th April, alongside one that has been organised by Bingley Rural Ward Councillors, and was attended by Town Councillors John Goode and Geoff Winnard. 33 bags of rubbish were collected, along with another 20 which had been dumped at the back of the shops.

Loo of the Year 2024
This year the Town Council entered the public toilets at our office building (The Hub, Myrtle Place, Bingley) into the national 'Loo of the Year Awards' – and are delighted to announce that the toilets received the highest grade possible, 'Platinum Plus'!
