D Day 80 Event

We would like to thank everyone who joined us on Thursday 6th June in the Market Square to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

At the event were the Bingley Detachment Cadets, Spen Valley Marching Band and 3rd Bingley Sea Scouts. The event commenced at 8.30pm, with the Deputy Lord Lieutenant reading the official proclamation and lighting the beacon at 9.15pm.

Also, thanks to Bingley and Bingley Airedale Rotary Club and Bingley Camera Club for their support, and Bingley and All Saints Church.

Bingley Remembrance Group also thanks everyone for their support and attendance at this very special momentous occasion in our military history.
