Here is some information about help and support available for older people.

Banking

A number of banks offer a dedicated telephone service for the over 70s.

Where this is offered banks have sent letters to customers to inform them and the appropriate phone numbers for people who require this service are available from Age UK Bradford on 01274 391190. Befriending Services

Denholme Assist are soon launching a telephone befriending service – by popular demand – and they are happy to offer this to other villages. The link below can be used to sign up to the service. Denholme Assist are ensuring that the volunteer befrienders are DBS checked, and all calls will go through a new system, set up to record the entire call for security.
