Bingley Town Council will hold the next planned full Council meeting remotely on Tuesday 28th April at 6.30 p.m, using the Zoom conference platform. Government legislation passed since the start of the Covid-19 crisis now allows for this. Standing Orders will be adopted to govern how remote meetings are  conducted and will specify how voting will take place, how documents can be accessed and how remote access will be available.

All the usual protocols will be in place and documents will be published on Thursday on the town Council website. Members of the public will be invited to attend via weblink or via a dial-in facility by phone (the latter may incur a cost).

The meeting will include twenty minutes at the start for for public comment, allowing three minutes for each speaker. As always, this will be a meeting held in public, not a public meeting.

A councillor, Clerk and member of the public will be considered to be ‘present’ if that person can speak, hear and be heard by all those in attendance.

Certain safety measures will be in place to guard against the meeting being interrupted by outside groups or individuals and confidential matters will be at the end of the meeting and have strict protocols in place.

Further details will be available with published documents on Thursday 23rd April.
